Table Manners

TABLE MANNERS
by Alan Ayckbourn

The Fort Theatre, Bishopbriggs, Glasgow
21st to 23rd October 2010

Produced by Aaron Pennie

Directed by Tom Macdougall

Table Manners is the popular dining-room part of Alan Ayckbourn’s trio of comedy plays The Norman Conquests.

The action of each of the plays in The Norman Conquests – Table Manners, Living Together and Round And Round The Garden – takes place simultaneously and follows the same six characters in the same English country house from Saturday evening to Monday morning.

Believing it his mission in life to make women happy by showering them with love, Norman makes the most of every opportunity to seduce his sister-in-law Annie, charm his brother-in-law’s wife Sarah and woo his wife Ruth during a disastrous weekend of squabbling, eating, drinking and fondling.

Tom Macdougall
Director

Tom Macdougall has maintained a life long interest and involvement in the Theatre.

Over the years he has acted in and directed many plays in the theatre, for the BBC, Educational TV and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Having thought he had ‘retired’ - along came Acting Cubed last year with a request for him to direct Plaza Suite! Tom relished the challenge and along with Corinne Coull, he led Acting Cubed’s successful stage debut.

With Table Manners, Tom enthusiastically returns to the role of Director for Acting Cubed as they perform for the second time at The Fort Theatre.

Tickets for Table Manners can be bought now from the Acting Cubed Online Box Office!
